Never Again

Written by KindredPOKER in Life, Music

I was going to write this last night but I was way too pissed off to consider writing anything. So, we rode down to this gig and discovered that, yet again, it was another tiny venue. Starting 40mins late because of the sound guy not knowing anything about equipment.

At this point our singer’s dad had to leave because he got so frustrated with how they were setting it up; he has been gigging and setting equipment up for over 20 years. We were listening to the bands before us and the sound quality was shockingly bad. So when our band got on to play I was supposed to do the backup vocals but the sound guy said it was too much of a hassle to move the mic from the drum kit to the right side where I was standing… They also managed to get the mics the wrong way round and the lead vocal mic was quieter than the backup vocal mic. We played good but it is a shame that the equipment was so bad.

After playing our band went outside for some fresh air and to get a drink and, when I came back in to lock my guitar away, I discovered that someone has opened the case, ripped out one of the straps inside it that holds the case’s lid up (it’s a hard case), and someone must have stood or fallen on the case because the frame is all out of alignment. Also because of that I have two scratches on the side and back of my guitar, f***ing brilliant.

After that me, Kurt and Curtis were so pissed off we decided to leave early and on our way back we thought of some awesome plans that we are going to pursue soon. Will post what they are after I’ve drawn up some plans for it.

Check out the River Cover on the Media page and you will see and understand how terrible it was, they even managed to mess up the stances, Curtis (the bassist) was in the centre and Kurt was on the left and he is Rhythm/Vocals…
